Our pillars work together to light the way to create an educational experience that is progressive and holistically benefits the child and society.
We are proud of a host of features that make us different, and a foundational feature which sets us apart is our Curriculum. We deliver exemplary educational content that is on par with the global curriculum – built by our in-house curriculum team (Ekya Learning Center). Our curriculum is drawn from international best practices and focuses on standards-based education.
We use the Understanding by Design Framework to build our curriculum and learning plans. Understanding by Design helps us plan for "understanding" rather than "knowing" about something. Our curriculum and planning methodology helps our children arrive at an understanding of a concept/idea by themselves, instead of offering a said understanding to them and evaluating them on how well they remember it.

Our assessments go beyond the traditional scope of assessments and reflect and think deeply on the purpose of assessments.
We believe that assessments are not merely tools for grading but powerful instruments for fostering holistic growth, cultivating a love for learning, and preparing students for the challenges of an ever-evolving world.
We track and review the progress and mastery of every child through assessments that are varied, context-based, challenging, adaptive and of international standards.
The process used in lesson planning is informed by the Understanding by Design framework and aims at creating immersive learning experiences for the students. Additionally, we have curated instructional tools and classroom strategies to build the Ekya Educator toolkit, a set of tools that educators can use to make learning engaging and meaningful. Through the use of these tools, learning becomes inquiry-driven, collaborative and reflective, allowing students to connect new learnings to larger ideas.
At Ekya, we recognise that teaching is one of the most challenging professions to be in. Educators need to be lifelong learners, become adept at using new technologies in the space of learning and be subject matter experts. To ably support our educators in their quest to empower students to be changemakers, the Professional Development Institute at Ekya Schools trains educators in global best practices in the teaching field. Throughout the academic year, educators undergo in-person training, participate in learning area meets, complete asynchronous learning modules, participate in special programs such as the Facilitator Development Program and share their reflections.
To enable every student at Ekya Schools to learn well, feel safe and valued, and have a great learning experience within as well as beyond the classroom, we strive to create a culture of care, collaboration, critical thinking, high expectations and shared leadership. The school leadership team at our campuses drive the organisational culture by setting clear expectations, modelling a positive learning culture, creating a safe environment for democratic discussions and providing opportunities for reflection, sharing and growth.
Our campuses provide a safe, engaging learning environment which allows students to thrive socially, physically, mentally and emotionally. Infrastructure at Ekya Schools is more than just the essential amenities and concrete walls. It is focused on creating a natural, warm and comforting environment for children. Designed by award-winning national architects, the campuses make the best use of natural light and open spaces to make them appealing and better suited for children.
