We will be using Big Ideas for our math curriculum. We will begin with numbers 0-10, ordering them forward and backward, and comparing them. Please work on writing numbers 0-10, ordering numbers 0-10, counting forward and backward, and comparing numbers, using greater than, less than, and equal to.
In Fundations, students have been working on writing letters t, b, f, n and m. This week we will be working on i and u.
We are currently only working on lowercase letters, and we will move to capital letters once we have gone through the alphabet. We do work on capitalizing names and the beginning of a sentence when students are ready. Students will also be exposed to all letters of the alphabet, but this sequence is our main focus for letter identification. Children are assessed on all letters throughout the year to meet specific needs.

Students will be working on letter sounds, parts of sentences, and grammar throughout this program. Right now, students are working on using the letter m and a, sight word we, and talking and writing about books we read.
