In the wake of promulgation of 25^th amendment in the Constitution, the jurisdiction of Peshawar High Court, Peshawar was extended to the erstwhile tribal areas. Finance Department sanctioned 907 posts of various pay scales under the Peshawar High Court Peshawar for district judiciaries of newly merged district vide letter No. BO-II/FD/3-14/SNE/PHC dated 13.02.2019. Peshawar High Court ordered posting / transfers of judicial officers in the newly merged districts vide Notification No. 3461-3611/Admn dated 25.02.2019. District judiciaries, except Khyber and North Waziristan had already shifted inside the newly merged areas. Courts in Khyber awaited completion of repair works which were reported 90% completed before shifting while in North Waziristan judiciary had declined to accept Girls Degree College Miranshah as court premises after class rooms had been converted into court rooms.

A scheme for construction of 07 district and 25 tehsil administration and judicial complexes in the newly merged areas has been included in the Accelerated Development Program (AIP) with an allocation of Rs. 300.000 Million. In the monthly meeting held on 26.09.2019, representative of Peshawar High Court informed that PC-1 for judicial complexes will be got prepared through C & W Department, hence there was no need to launch feasibility study under approved PC-II. Selection process for filling vacant posts sanctioned in the last financial year has been taken in hand.
