It is imperative to take in the lessons from the past as we seek to shape the future.
The continued construction around the vicinity of the park (including the EJC campus) illustrate the fact that human development will be a constant. However, the key consideration of preserving spaces and conserving nature should remain as a cornerstone in any development plan.
A recent hot topic on the construction of the Cross-Island MRT line involves the space around us.

In 2019, the government announced that the Cross-Island line will pass under the CCNR and mitigation measures will be put in place to ensure that the impact on nature and the people living in the affected construction area will be minimised. Governmental consultation with 'Green groups' must be a continued effort to ensure proper consideration is given to concerned voices.
The impact of the Cross-Line Line on its surroundings is a story waiting to unfold.
The next big question to ask would be...
"What can we, as Eunoia, do in our capacity to help the human & natural community?"
