TRSMS has teamed up with MySchoolBucks, an online service where you can easily and securely pay for outstanding items (lost textbook/library books) with a credit or debit card. Payments for end of the year balances (Lost Textbook/Library Books) must be for the EXACT amount. If you do not already have an account, simply scan the QR code or go to the website to sign up. The new RydeFreeRT card, valid from June 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, offers free rides for youth in Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade on the entire SacRT transit network — including fixed-route buses and light rail, thanks in part to funding provided by partner jurisdictions and school districts.

New cards have been distributed to schools, school districts, and local libraries, and will also be available at the SacRT Customer Service Center located at 1225 R Street (next to the 13th Street Station). The current RydeFreeRT card is valid until June 30, 2027.
