I am your workstation, take me where you go! If you move rooms, I should come too. If you take me home, please bring me back or you won't have a computer. Transport me in a laptop case/sleeve or even a towel.
I am very nice and expensive. Please keep me safe and secure! If you leave me at school, unplug me and lock me up or put me away in a drawer.
I do not have a CD/DVD player.
Dual Screens: For the most part, while in the classroom, you'll want to leave me closed. closed. You already have 2 monitors as well as a projector. These will be configured to work with your new setup. Opening the laptop adds yet another screen and will change the layout.
Software/Apps: Launch Outlook as soon as possible as it may take an extended period of time to sync your mailbox, especially those that don’t believe in deleting. You can follow the progress of the Outlook sync in the bottom right corner of the screen. Any additional software will be installed as soon as Ed can access the laptop. You may need to sign in to your Google Chrome account for the first use.
Printers: will also be added. This will take a little bit of time as well since Ed has to account for adding every printer that you may need to access based on your locations throughout the day. He will add printers based on where you should be according to the master schedule. Please give Ed at least 1-2 day for software and printer installs before creating service tickets unless it is an emergency.
Zoom: The first time you use Zoom on your new laptop you'll need to reset the microphone and speakers/audio. Log onto Zoom and look for the "Mute" icon on the bottom toolbar and click on the up arrow next to it. Adjust your microphone and speaker selections to what you normally use.
Microphone - "Microphone (Live Streamer CAM313 Microphone)"
