How do I make a phone call?
You no longer need to press 9 to dial out. If the call you're making is within the school's area code (916), then you can simply type the seven digit number. If it's outside of area code 916, press dial the 10 digit number starting with 1 and the area code you are trying to reach.
Dialing within EGUSD remains possible simply by using the extension for the party you are trying to reach.
What do I call in a school emergency?
Press the "Admin" button on your phone (third button down on the left side of the screen). This will cause all of the phones of our radio-holding front office staff to ring. It is possible the phone will be picked up by a non-admin person, but do not hang up as that person will have a radio to assist you. Explain the emergency and they will use said radio to get you the help you need.

No, your 5-digit extension will remain the same.
How do I set up Voicemail?
Press the button below “Voice M…” on the display.
Press 0 for mailbox options.
If prompted to enter a pin, enter 12345#.
Choose your Greeting Types
Unavailable (Press 1) - This greeting will play if you do not answer the phone.
Busy (Press 2) - This greeting will play if you are on another call.
Temporary (Press 3) - This greeting can be used temporarily in place of your unavailable greeting.
Name (Press 4)
Change Pin (Press 5)
Follow the prompts for the specific greeting (record, re-record, listen, etc.)
How do I Listen to my Voicemail?
When someone leaves a voicemail, you will receive an email from voicemail@egusd.net. The voicemail will be attached as a .wav audio file. The only way to listen to your voicemail messages is to go to the email and open the attached file.
If you have a voicemail/missed call, the red light on your phone will blink. Clear this by viewing your missed calls using the following process:
Press the button under “Menu”
Use the arrows on the phone to navigate to Call Log
Press OK
Navigate to Local Call Logs and press Ok
Use the arrows on the phone to move between All, In, Out, and Miss.
How do I Transfer a Call to Another Room?
When on a call, press the Xfer (transfer) button on your phone.
Type the extension of the party you would like to transfer the call to.
Once more press the Xfer button.
How do I do a Conference Call?
When on a call with the first person, press the Conf (Conference) button at the bottom of the LCD screen.
Type the number of the second conference call member (either full number or extension), then press the Dial button.
Press the Conf button again to join the two together.
What Happened to my Direct Line?
Unfortunately, the adoption of the 101Voice phones made direct lines no longer a possibility.
