Frequently Asked Questions

Bags:
One Backpack: The backpack is the only bag you will have access to while on the bus, so please pack your lunch and any bus items in your backpack.

One Duffel bag: All clothing, toiletries, and shoes should fit into your single duffel bag. The ground is rocky and there are stairs so a duffel bag is best.

One Bedding bag: We recommend using an XL trash bag. Your sleeping bag or heavy comforter, blanket, and pillow all need to fit into this bag.  Please tape your name to the outside. Please pack an extra bag repack items for the trip home.

Food:
Please eat breakfast before arriving to school on Monday. Pack one sack lunch in your backpack.  We will eat sack lunches before arriving to Mission Springs. All other food will be provided by Mission Springs.

COVID Precautions:
There is no testing requirement to attend the trip. Students are welcome to wear facemasks. Students are required to clean their hands before meals.

We plan to return to school by 3pm on Thursday. We'll send out message and notify the school office of a more accurate ETA when we leave.

Electronics
There are outlets for a clock, battery operated is easier. Chaperones and teachers will do a wakeup round to be sure all students are awake with enough time to be ready for breakfast. Alarm clocks aren't necessary but are allowed as long as they only serve as an alarm clock and do not have music playing abilities.  All other electronics can be used on the bus. There will be no wifi provided. Any electronics brought will be confiscated upon arrival and returned to students prior to departure.

Are there outlets for a clock?
Each room has an alarm clock provided by Mission Springs. Students do not need to bring one. There are outlets available for them.  Chaperones can use the outlets as needed.
