The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multi-aptitude test battery consisting of 10 short individual tests covering Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, General Science, Auto and Shop Information, Mechanical Comprehension, Electronics Information, Numerical Operations, and Coding Speed. The ASVAB is a good mirror of how well students have developed their academic and occupational abilities at school, home, and in the community. The results provide information on readiness for advanced academic education, along with other personal information to identify areas for Career Exploration. The ASVAB takes about three hours and will be administered by representatives of the Federal Government.
