Program of Studies

This course starts with a rapid review of grammar and vocabulary presented in the previous year and moves to continue the student’s understanding of Latin grammar and syntax by intensive noun, adjective, and pronoun study. Cultural topics include Romanized Britain, Hellenized Egypt, and Alexandria. There is continued emphasis on syntax and vocabulary, word study, sight translation, and translation from Latin to English and English to Latin. There are weekly assignments and quizzes, full period tests, common tasks, and mid-year and final common course assessments.
