Chromatic: (melodies where there are predominance of notes that are a semi-tone (half-step) apart
Whole-Tones are notes made entirely of whole-steps and has only six notes.
The pattern for a whole-tone scale is easy to remember because it consists only of whole-steps (W):
W-W-W-W-W-W

Non-Diatonic / Non-Harmonic Tones: Notes of a melody that don't belong to a particular key, or notes not diatonically related to the key of the song.
Atonal - Lacking a key center
