NCAA CLEARINGHOUSE
DIVISION I AND DIVISION II ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
All student-athletes interested in participating in collegiate athletics must meet the NCAA Clearinghouse standards listed below. Any student who desires to complete at the college level should see their counselor early in their high school career to ensure their academic path meets these standards. All student-athletes must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Students may also register with NAIA.
Division I: Earn 16 NCAA-approved core-course credits.
Four years of English.
Three years of math (Algebra 1 or higher).
Two years of science (including one year of lab, if offered).
One additional year of English, math or science.
Two years of social science.
Four additional years of English, math, science, social science, world language or nondoctrinal religion/philosophy.
Earn a minimum 2.3 core-course GPA.
Division II: Earn 16 NCAA-approved core-course credits.
Three years of English.
Two years of math (Algebra 1 or higher).
Two years of science (including one year of lab, if offered).
Three additional years of English, math or science.
Two years of social science.
Four additional years of English, math, science, social science, world language or nondoctrinal religion/philosophy.
Earn a minimum 2.2 core-course GPA.
