About Mrs. Larson

Danielle Larson currently serves as the vocal music and general music instructor at Central Middle School in East Grand Forks, MN. Larson instructs 6th grade general music, conducts the 6th, 7th and 8th grade choirs, leads Pop Singers, instructs individual and group voice lessons for those enrolled in choir, and directs the musical at CMS each year. Prior to working at CMS, Larson was employed for 12 years as the Vocal Music Director at Valley Middle School in Grand Forks, ND from 2012-2024. She was the conductor of Accordo Voce for Grand Cities Children's Choir from 2013-2019. Larson has also previously served as the middle school repertoire and standards co-chair on the North Dakota American Choral Director's Association board, as part of the Summer Performing Arts voice faculty, and a clinician for ND-ACDA's Surround the State in Song. Prior to teaching in Grand Forks, Larson taught for one year in Lakota, ND as the 5-12 band, choir and general music teacher, and also taught one year as the 6-8 choir director in East Grand Forks, MN. 

She grew up on a farm outside of Willow City, ND and attended Bottineau High School. Larson graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of North Dakota in 2010. In the spring of 2021 she earned a degree from the University of Florida in the Online Master of Music in Music Education program. 

Larson enjoys life on the farm with her husband, Brad and children, Josie, Kiersten, and Lewis. She also volunteers as a cantor and accompanist at Holy Trinity Church in Tabor, MN. She spends free time exercising, reading, cooking, baking, and canning.
