Consequences (in-person)
Our class uses a color-coded thermometer to monitor each student’s behavior. Each student begins the day as an awesome Super Hero. However, if a student breaks a rule, he/she will be quietly talked to at first. If the misbehavior continues, the student’s name will move to a different color. The students will be able to gauge their conduct and know the consequences by the color and position of the thermometer.

Here is a tentative list of field trips (on and off site) we are planning for this year. (subject to change)
Chitactac Field Trip -- (Off-site) TBD
Students will be visiting an Ohlone Indian Village at Chitactac County Park over by the Uvas Creek area in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Through cultural artifacts like bedrock mortars and petroglyphs, they will experience and learn about the life of Ohlone Indians through various stations with docents of the park. It should be a great experience! Students need to bring a lunch on this field trip.
Theatre Experience -- (Off-site) TBD
Students will see a play at one of our local live theatres
San Jose Museum of Art Presentation --TBD
An art docent from the San Jose Museum of Art will be coming to our classroom to do a 40 minute presentation discussing everything art! They will be able to see some original works and have an interactive experience.
San Jose History Park -- (Off-site) TBD
Live, Work, Play, Daily Life in the 1800’s
Through Docent led hands-on activities, students will discover more about daily life in the late 19th century. This 90 minute program gives students a peek into the everyday world of daily chores in the home and school day activities in a one room school house. This program is apart of Kelly Park in downtown San Jose. Students will need to bring a lunch to this field trip.
Morgan Hill Aquatics Center -- (Off-site) TBD
Students get the opportunity to use and play in the various sized pools and water areas including two slides and multiple water fountains. We need 2 chaperones to accompany us on the bus, but all parents are welcome to pay admission and meet us there. Students will need to bring a bag lunch on this field trip.
Walking Field Trip to Fowler Creek Park -- (Off-site)TBD
Our class will be walking to Fowler Creek Park and having a picnic lunch. We will be walking at 9:30 and returning approximately by 12:00.
