The Evergreen Elementary School District is excited to offer weekly instrumental music lessons to all 5th and 6th grade students. No previous experience is required!
Students will have the opportunity to try an instrument and learn the basics of musicianship, including reading music, understanding rhythm, and ear training, while developing teamwork skills and learning to play different instruments together as an ensemble.
Weekly 45 minute lessons run from September through May. First year and second year students will perform in the Spring Concert in May, and second year students will also have the opportunity to perform in the Holiday Concert in December.
Elementary band is a great way to try something new, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation in music while preparing students to continue their musical journey in middle school and beyond.
