Pastor John Dave Labrador was born into a family deeply rooted in faith and service. He is the eldest son of Rev. Jonathan and Mrs. Dorothy Labrador, both faithful pastors and former missionaries to Nigeria. His parents, graduates of Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary, modeled a life of wholehearted devotion to God — serving in ministry across cultures and teaching their children to love God and people wherever they are called.
Continuing this legacy, his younger brother Rev. John Collins Labrador and sister-in-law Darlene Labrador are both pastors serving in Cagayan de Oro City, leading with the same passion for the Gospel and the local church. Blessed with kids Adrian John Zoe and Zyan Coleen who are also gifted in music. Their youngest sister Dorothy Joann Lei Labrador and her husband Romeo Rabajante serve in the field of education at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, where Dorothy Joann is Dean of the College of Education and Romeo is Chairman of the IT Department — both shaping lives through learning and leadership.
Pastor John Dave is joyfully married to Beersheba Labrador, his partner in faith, love, and ministry. Together, they share a deep love for music and travel, finding joy in discovering new places, meeting people, and witnessing how God’s grace moves in every season and journey of life
As a family, our deepest desire is to honor God above all — in our calling, our relationships, and the way we live each day. From the mission field to the pulpit, from the classroom to the quiet moments of reflection, we believe that every story becomes meaningful when it points back to the goodness of God.
This is the heartbeat of Kwento ni Pastor.
It was created to share stories of faith, life, love, and the mysteries of God — stories that remind us that no moment is wasted when it is lived for His glory. Through reflections, travels, and everyday experiences, this space seeks to tell of God’s grace at work in the ordinary and the unexpected, so that others, too, may be encouraged to walk with Him and live for His honor.
