With the advancement of technology, intelligent system is introduced everyday. Everything is getting sophisticated day by day. There is an increase demand of technology and smart electronic system. Therefore, home automation is demandable all over the world. There are many types of home automation systems like bluetooth controlled, internet controlled, remote controlled and so on. Each type has its own pros and cons. In this project, a voice activated home automation system was designed, where different appliances are controlled by sending a voice command. The voice activated automation project is implemented usng Arduino UNO, bluetooth and a smart phone. This automatic home appliances leverage the power of Arduino to provide an automation control. Using Arduino, temperature is sensed according to the desired time interval and temperature is controlled by changing the speed of a fan. In this project, there is also an attempt to create a simple security alarm system, which detects smoke being activated by any smoke in the atmosphere through a smoke detector.
