CNC means computer numerical control. This means a computer converts the design produced by computer aided software into numbers. The numbers can be considered to be the coordinates of a graph and they control the movement on the cutter. In this way , the computer controls the cutting and shaping of the material. CNC is an outgrowth of the old term "NC", which stands for just "Numerical Control". It refers to te idea of controlling machine tools via computer. CNC machines are robots of a sort. In this project, we designed a 2D CNC nachine which can draw figures using the G codes that we have uploaded. It can draw various figures with different G codes.

With the advancement of technology, intelligent system is introduced everyday. Everything is getting sophisticated day by day. There is an increase demand of technology and smart electronic system. Therefore, home automation is demandable all over the world. There are many types of home automation systems like bluetooth controlled, internet controlled, remote controlled and so on. Each type has its own pros and cons. In this project, a voice activated home automation system was designed, where different appliances are controlled by sending a voice command. The voice activated automation project is implemented usng Arduino UNO, bluetooth and a smart phone. This automatic home appliances leverage the power of Arduino to provide an automation control. Using Arduino, temperature is sensed according to the desired time interval and temperature is controlled by changing the speed of a fan. In this project, there is also an attempt to create a simple security alarm system, which detects smoke being activated by any smoke in the atmosphere through a smoke detector.

In the present technological revolution, power is very precious. Therefore, it is needed to find out the causes of power loss and improve the power system. Due to industrialization, the use of inductive load increases and hence, power system losses its efficiency. It is an early need to improve the power factor with a suitable method. Now-a-days, the embedded system is very much popular and most of the product are developed with the micro-controller based embedded technology. In this project, the automatic power factor correction technique is applied to increase the power factor. A micro-controller is used to reduce the overall cost of the system. This system can be applied to residential purpose and industries to reduce the billing cost and to make the best use of electrical energy provided by the electricity service provider.
