Assistive Tech.
Assistive Technology
Persons with disability often need assistive devices to particpate in a number are activities such as
education
communication
mobility
leisure and daily living
We address these needs by focusing on the functional disabilities (as classified by the WHO-ICF) and build devices that allow them to participate meaninfully and independently in their activites. The work is undertaken under the Centre for Rehabiliation Engineering and Technolgy, in partnership with Enability Foundation for Rehabilitation. Our solutions include
software - KAVI-PTS, KAVI+
embedded systems - access switches, KAVI-T, iGest, Tactograph
mobility - wheelchair accessible electric vehicle (Yali Mobility)
