How To Dress:
The climate will be changing from mildly warm during the day to cold at night or in high elevations, and we recommend wearing lightweight pants with layers during the day. Bring 2 - 3 pair of pants and a couple long-sleeved shirts /Tshirts + sweater, fleece, or jacket for the nights. No dressy clothes are required.
Socks made of wool or other moisture absorbent materials are recommended for hiking because of their ability to keep your feet dry. You can never have enough pairs of socks!
How to Pack:
· Please do not bring any more than you can easily carry on your own. Each person will carry their things from the bus to their room at hotels. And don’t forget to leave room for souvenirs!
· You may want to bring plastic bags in your suitcase. You can reuse these bags throughout the trip in order to pack your dirty clothes or use it for wet clothes and bathing suits.
· You may also want to bring clothes to wear that you can leave behind as a donation to the local community organizations instead of packing a suitcase full of wet and dirty things. We will launder them and give them to the community there.
· Please pack any medications in waterproof, airtight containers marked with the name and dosage of the drug. You also want to store your documents (passport, airline tickets, etc.) in water-resistant envelopes or Ziploc bags. Ziploc bags come in handy for wet clothes and dirty shoes, too.
