This analyst report will break the myBlueprint venture down into six dimensions: market focus, type of offering, global target, market status, and competition.
An analysis of each dimension relating to myBlueprint will be provided below in order to get a better understanding of the viability of this venture, and its future investment potential.
MyBlueprint started as an education and career planning tool, designed specifically for the highschool market. According to council of ministers of education, Canada, as of 2020 there are about 4,700 schools in Canada offering highschool courses. Therefore the platform was only marketable to about 37% of the total number of schools in the country.
MyBlueprint later expanded their platform to include an "all about me" tool for grades k-6 students. This expanded the potential market for myBlueprint to all K-12 schools in Canada (approximately 14,000).
With this focus on growth, myBlueprint was able to expand from one million users in 2020 to 1.5 million users in 2025. A 50% growth rate over five years.
The myBlueprint platform is an online educational service. It is designed specifically to serve three different groups:
Students who are eveloping a sense of identity, and using what they have learned about themselves to plan and make decisions about their future academic and career journeys.
Teachers who are looking for a platform which is aligned with curriculum and approved by their school district to help students to develop a sense of identity and then guide them through their academic and career planning.
Parents who would like to be involved and included in their childs current and future academic journey and career planning.
MyBlueprint is a centrally purchased learning program. Licenses are purchased by either individual school districts, independent schools, or provincial/territorial ministries of education to support entire provincial/territorial education systems. As of 2025, licenses had been purchased by over 200 Canadian school districts, over 250 independent schools, and five provincial ministries of education. To date, these licences have supported the career and education planning for about 26% of all students in the country.
MyBlueprint has a specifically Canadian focus. Although CEO Gil Silberstein wrote in 2020 that he planned to pursue global growth with the platform, as of 2026 the platform is still almost exclusively used in Canada.
The current Canadian market is well positioned to support myblueprint. Funding for elementary and secondary education in Canada comes primarily from provincial or territorial government funding, provincial transfers, or local taxes. Due to the current global economic uncertanty as of 2026, government agencies and Canadian taxpayers alike are strongly supportive of Canadian businesses. This places Canadian education companies whose products are aligned with curriculum and supported by Canadian post secondary institutions (like myBlueprint) in a very good position within the Canadian market.
As far as college and career readiness programs go, Xello and Kuder are the two closest competitors to myBlueprint. The cost of all three platforms is comparable, with annual subscriptions averaging between $3 and $5 per student per year.
