Welcome

Hello and welcome! My name is Juanita Rea and I am facilitating this Mindfulness for Wellbeing and Creativity workshop involving secular mindfulness-based techniques to nurture minds, bodies and hearts. So, allow me to introduce myself. I'm a South African educator, wellbeing specialist and artist activist residing in Belfast. I share mindfulness, yoga and changemaker strategies with others because I regularly experience how awareness of body, breath, thoughts and emotions helps me overcome self-doubt, manage anxiety and provides a safe inner space from which I can make decisions about practical, positive actions that support and sustain my wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. My aim is to provide a safe and hopefully fun space for you to experience some strategies for yourselves and to have access to tools that may help to nurture your mental health, especially during these challenging times.
