Clubs are a fun and inclusive way to interact with new people at school! If you want to join a club, a list of them is below and the teachers you can contact for more information.

Club Description: Honors Society
When/Where: 3rd Thursday of a month in H11 during lunch
Requirements: Membership is determined by grades earned in academic classes. Points are given based on grades earned. An A = 3 points, B = 1 point, an A in an AP course is equal to 4 points, and a B in an AP course is equal to 2 points. Complete information is printed on the application that must be submitted each semester. Membership is not automatic, you must apply each semester.

Club Description: To organize, promote, and rehearse the two main stage productions at PHS, put on several smaller productions, to organize and fund drama field trips.

Club Description: Agriculture students in all grades are expected to participate in this club. Leadership skills, public speaking, animal projects, and development of financial responsibility are all goals of the FFA.
Meeting: During class and one Tuesday a month at 6 pm in large gym/cafeteria
Requirements: Must be enrolled in an Agriculture class.

Club Description: Use flowers and a variety of plants to create assortments.

Club Description: Cultural activities such as watching French movies, go to French restaurant, go to plays or museums, games in French (such as Scrabble), and caroling in French.

Club Description: A service club sponsored by Kiwanis International and Placerville Kiwanis offering student volunteers for El Dorado County events.

Requirements: 50 hours of service per year. $20 dues and regular attendance at general meetings (members are allowed 2 unexcused absences per school year).

Club Description: Mock Trial is a simulated trial proceeding created to teach students legal procedures, reasoning, critical thinking, decision making, public speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills. Students work with a hypothetical criminal case in roles of pretrial attorneys, defense and prosecution attorneys, witnesses, court clerks, bailiffs, and jurors.

Club Description: Focused on fighting and advocating Period Poverty and Stigma.

Club Description: The QSA Club is looking for members who are both LGBTQ and straight. We strive to eliminate the social stigmas that are common in society today.

Club Advisor: Ms. Walker (ext. 2268) and Ms. Graves (ext. 2309)
Club Description: To explore a common interest in the Spanish language and cultures of different countries. This is a social club that offers students a chance to express themselves and learn about others in artistic ways. Activities include pot lucks and food festivals, watching movies, listening to many types of music, learning dances, creating handicrafts and visiting restaurants or theaters. Some students often donate tutoring services in Spanish on a monthly basis.
When/Where: Tuesday flex period in P7
Requirements: Student is currently enrolled in a Spanish course or has taken Spanish previously. An interest in the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries with an emphasis on art, music, dance, and food.
