Walburger's Class:
Students will be bringing home their science assessments that we wrote last week. It was multiple choices, with a few short answer questions. The assessment can be located on the Blyburger folder under "Bly-Science Assessment Folder". You will need to look at this PDF to know the questions they were asked. This was PAT style where they read the question on the ipad and then answered on an answer sheet. Most students have a good understanding of Crime Scene and Investigation and trees and forest, they are working on learning strategies to solve multiple choice tests. Please go through questions with your child, sign the assessment when you are done and send it back by Friday, March 13.
Bly's Class: Cross Country Skiing on Monday! Please make sure that your child dresses in layers (extra gloves and socks), packs a lunch (there will be no microwaves available) and leave valuables at home. We hope to get back by 3 or 3 :15 but highway driving conditions may result in a delay of a few minutes.
Walburger's class: Thank you for completing your homework last night. It was a fantastic and rich discussion today. I look forward to further conversations, discussion as we continue to look at different perspectives. I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. The next few weeks leading up to spring break will be very busy. Please make sure to keep updated by looking at the blog.

Students have worked hard during this week to complete assignments. During our morning activities we have enjoyed some music activities as we begin the holiday season. Students have been enjoying learning different beats/rhythms and patterns using different materials. Ms. Walburger's class worked on and presented their Reader's Theatre Skit and will perform to grade 4 students next week. Ms.Bly's students used buckets to perform different beats and rhythms.
Article writing has been a focus in Ms. Walburger's classroom as they worked on their Newspaper project using the lens of a Reporter. They had lots of background knowledge from their station work to use. Articles are due on Wednesday. (work done in class)
Students are working hard to design and paint their tree cookies with a scene their tree cookie may have experienced when it was a tree. :) They are looking amazing.
