In this stage, Opportunity Funds grantees will receive the following benefits:
Online preparatory courses for standardized exams required for admission to U.S. institutions, such as the SAT or GRE.
Academic advising 1:1
Virtual cohort training workshops
Networking events with U.S. higher education institution representatives
Standardized exams fees (SAT or GRE and TOEFL)
Fees for official translations
Credential evaluations, if applicable
Application fees for up to eight U.S. institutions
This stage applies only to Opportunity Funds grantees who receive a full financial offer directly from an accredited U.S. university or college.
Students who do not receive a full financial offer, and/or complementary funds from other sources to cover tuition, fees, and living expenses, will not be eligible for Stage II economic benefits.
Selected students in Stage II will be eligible for the following benefits:
SEVIS and F-1 visa fees, including transportation to the nearest U.S. Embassy, if applicable
One-way airline ticket to the university where the student will complete their studies
A one-time settling-in allowance
