At the WHA EducationUSA Virtual Fair you will be able to interact with students by using the integrated chat feature available in your virtual booth. Watch the video to learn how to access the platform and use the chat tool. See our suggestions below about how to proceed in different scenarios you may encounter before and during the fair.
Although the fair can be accessed from any device with an active internet connection, we suggest you follow these suggestions to avoid any technical issues:
Use a laptop/desktop device so you can navigate the graphics of the event with more ease and interact with students more effectively. Accessing the fair from a smartphone does not guarantee that you can use the chat tool appropriately.
Use Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox as your browsers to log in to the fair platform. Internet Explorer must not be used as the chat tool is not supported.
If you plan to have audio/video calls with students, make sure your camera and mic are working and your browser has permission to use them.
Technical support from VFairs will be available during the time of the live event at the Tech Support chat.
If you have any issues before or during the fair, we have a WhatsApp account available to respond to your questions as soon as possible. Note that we will only be able to help you with questions regarding the logistics of the fair and cannot assist with questions related to the technical aspect of the platform.
Have the answer to FAQs available in a document in your computer so that you can copy and paste them in case you receive the same questions throughout the live fair.
Students will most likely ask general questions about the U.S. Higher Education system. Feel free to send them to the EducationUSA chatrooms.
We will have some live and pre-recorded information sessions, here’s the list for your reference. If you find that students would benefit from attending any of those sessions, you can invite them to participate in them by going to the Auditorium.
If you have not done so already, make sure that your and your colleagues names in the platform include the specific programs/levels of study you represent. If you are bilingual, you can also include the language(s) you speak. This will make easier for students to identify who they should contact with specific questions.
