Mrs. Bolarinwa
Hi, I'm Mrs. Nike Bolarinwa. I've been a teacher for some decades, but this is my fourth year at ACPS.
I love reading research papers, most especially on inclusive practices and a sense of belonging, which help me to create an inclusive environment for our diverse students, regardless of their varying developmental, learning, or social needs.
I love spending time with my family and enjoy cooking for them too!
Mrs. Schafer
Hi, I'm Mrs. Schafer, and I'm one of the teachers in 2C for 2025.
I have been teaching at Aitken Creek for the last 6 years, but took 2024 off as I was on maternity leave with my first baby, Hazel.
I love camping and exploring with my husband, Chris, and we can't wait to take Hazel on adventures around Australia too!
When I'm not camping, you might find me reading, going to the beach, hanging out with family and friends, or watching Collingwood, usually all with a coffee in hand.
I'm so excited to meet all of the amazing students this year.
Miss. Omi
I am very excited to join your class. My name is Omrita, but I prefer being called Omi. This is my second year with my own classroom. Apart from being a teacher, I am also a mum to 2 kids - a 10 year old and 6 year old. My family loves to go on hikes and to the beach. We don’t have any pets, but we love dog sitting for our family and friends. We are from South India and have called Australia our home for the past 15 years.
Fun facts about me are: I am a trained Indian classical dancer, I love reading big, huge novels, I lived in Dubai for 22 years before moving to Melbourne, and I love growing veggies in my garden.
In my classroom, I strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. I believe in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a growth mindset. Together, we will explore, question, and learn as a community.
