Mr Fikri

Hi, I'm Mr Fikri and I am one of the the teachers in 2A this year. I have been teaching for 20 years and looking forward to working with the Year 2 Team this year. 

I am the Curriculum Initiatives Leader here at ACPS and working across the Year 1 and Year 2 Area. I am looking foward to improving student outocmes across these two year levels. 

I support the Carlton Football Club and I love to travel.

Mrs. Zengin

Hi, I'm Mrs. Zengin, and I am one of the teachers in 2A this year.  I have been a teacher for 10 years and have been at Aitken Creek Primary School for 8 years. 

This year, I am the Year 2 PLC Learning Specialist, so I get to work with all of the teachers and students in Year 2.  

I love animals, enjoy going to the beach and going to the footy with my husband, Go Pies!!  

I am very excited to be in Year 2 this year and look forward to working with all of our amazing students!

Hi, I am Mrs Turan and I am teaching 2B this year. This will be my third year teaching Year 2 at ACPS.

I come from a Turkish background. I enjoy being creative and cooking. I like going out to cafes and having coffee in my free time. 

I am excited to teach and see all the growth from our wonderful students this year!

Ms. Thomas

Hi, I'm Ms Thomas.  I have taught English in Japan before I became a teacher in Australia.  I love working with all students but particularly English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.

I was born in New Zealand and have lived in England, Japan, USA and of course now Australia.  I love working in Craigieburn as we have a very special school with many cultures.

I am looking forward to working with our awesome students and challenging them to be the best they can be.

Mrs. Bolarinwa

Hi, I'm Mrs. Nike Bolarinwa. I've been teaching for some decades, but this is my fifth year at ACPS.

I love reading research papers, most especially on inclusive practices that foster a sense of belonging, which helps me to create an inclusive environment for our diverse students, regardless of their different developmental, learning, or social needs.

 I love spending time with my family and enjoy cooking for them too!

Mr. Vera

My name is Mr Vera, and I am excited to join the year 2 team for 2026. 

This is my third year at ACPS after teaching in Sydney, NSW since 2019. 

In term 1, I look forward to setting up a safe and supportive classroom for all 2E students so that they can have a great start to the year.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my dog Lexi, travelling, playing soccer, and catching up with friends.  

I wish all of our ACPS families a happy and successful start to the 2026 school year.

Ms. Duggan

My name is Ms Duggan and I am the Grade 2F teacher this year. My favourite colour is purple, my favourite animal is the wombat, and I love bushwalking, photography, and travelling. I am really looking forward to getting to know all of my students and watching them grow. 

Grade 2F will be a place full of learning, fun, and new experiences, so please bring a positive “can-do” attitude and your biggest smile! 

Families are always welcome to come and talk with me if they have any questions or concerns about their child’s learning. I know we are going to have a wonderful year together.

Hi, my name is Lisa Banfield.   I have been at Aitken Creek for 14 years in education support. 

I have 2 adult children and a husband that I love to spend time with going to different places around Australia.   

I love reading, camping, going to the gym and long walks with my dog and husband.  I

I am looking forward to having a amazing year of learning and having fun with the Year 2 students this year.   

Mrs. Dhammi

Hi, my name is Dhammi Attygala. I have been working in the education field for the past fourteen years. This is my ninth year at ACPS as an Education Support Staff member, and I continue to enjoy being part of this wonderful school community.

I am a mother of three daughters. Outside of school hours, I love spending time with my family, especially hiking and travelling together. I enjoy staying physically active through swimming, cycling, and dancing and I absolutely love spending time in nature.

I have a passion for working with children and am really looking forward to a wonderful year with the Grade 2 students.

Hi!  My name is mrs  Nellie.

I 've been working at ACPS for 8 years.I am very excited to work with Grade 2's this year.

I have four  beautiful growing girls.I LOVE SPENDING TIMES WITH MY FAMILY.

My hobbies are walking,gardening,swimmingand also playing Tennis with my husband also I am running the Gardening Club ACPS and can't wait to do plantingwith my students.

Mrs. Arshiya

Hi, my name is Arshiya Iqbal. I have recently joined ACPS and will be working with teachers and supporting students of grade 2 this year.

I have a beautiful daughter and a husband, & they are my best friends. I love going on long road trips with my family and exploring various places.

I enjoy cooking, baking, decorating my house and reading books. 

I love working with teachers and students. Looking  forward to contributing to the best of my abilities this year in Grade 2s.
