Welcome to the Year Six 'At-Home Learning Tasks' section. In this section of our Learning Hub, you will find tasks to complete if you are unable to attend school and to assist in completing your learning journey.
In this section, you will find Reading, Writing, Word study and Mathematics tasks to complete.
Your first point of call is to check for work that has been posted on Google Classroom this week. Once in 'Classwork', you will head to the week that we are currently in e.g. 'Term 1 Week 5' and see what work needs to be completed. Once you have finished this work, please scroll down this page to complete: Reading, Writing, Word Study and Mathematics tasks.
If you are absent from school, please read the weekly chapters of the current novel study, which are on Google Classroom.
Next, complete a reading log sharing the title of the book you are reading, the author, genre, type of book (easy read, 'Just Right' or challenge read) and rating. While reading, make sure to write down your thoughts during or after you have read.
Complete this Writer's Notebook task demonstrating your ability to create new ideas and vocabulary based on a given topic. Click on the Google Slides below for more information.
