Welcome to the Year 1 Community Blog!
This blog will showcase learning by our Year 1 students throughout the year with pictures, videos and information.
We hope you enjoy seeing what happens inside our classrooms!
Hello, I’m Ms Bechmann. I’ve been teaching at ACPS since 2019 and currently work as a Year 1 teacher and Learning Specialist.
I’m also a qualified Classical Ballet teacher, and I spend most evenings in the ballet studio. I truly love teaching in all its forms. Outside of school, I am a busy mum to 3 children. I enjoy live music, catching up with friends, following the AFL (go Pies!) and, of course, anything chocolate.
I’m looking forward to a great year of learning and working closely with our wonderful school community to support every child’s growth and success.
Hi, I’m Jenna Beattie, one of the teachers in 1A and a Learning Specialist in Year 1. This is my 11th year at ACPS and my 13th year teaching, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my two sons, Oliver and Tommy. I’m also an avid reader and enjoy watching a wide range of sports — especially cheering on the Bombers!
I’m really looking forward to working across classrooms this year, supporting all students to find success and getting to know each and every learner.
