Numeracy

On this tab, you will find a collection of links to activities designed to support your child in practising their numeracy goals. These goals are carefully monitored and assessed by your child’s classroom teacher and will be updated as your child demonstrates proficiency in each skill.

If you would like to further extend your child’s learning, you may wish to refer to the Victorian Curriculum Mathematics framework for an overview of grade-level expectations. This information can assist you in deciding whether to provide additional extension opportunities or to continue consolidating skills aligned with your child’s current year level. 

A brief outline of the skills required at the end of each grade level is shown below.

Goal 1 - Count all / Count on / Count back (concrete materials)

Goal 3 - Bonds to 10 

Goal 5 - Near Doubles

Goal 7 - Add 10 / Take 10 

Goal 1 - Skip count by 10's, 5's and 2's

Goal 3 - Five's Facts

Goal 5 - Division by 2s, 5s and 10s

Goal 7 - Three's Facts

Goal 9 - Six's Facts

Goal 11  - Skip Count by 7s, 8s and 9s

Goal 13- Eight's Facts
