Writing Pre-Test Data Discussion

The teachers in this video are discussing the results of a writing pre-test for a Year One cohort. They are using the "what? so what? now what?" discussion protocol. The teachers first discuss the facts that the data is showing, they then discuss what may have led to these results and what the implications for student learning are. Finally the teachers develop a plan of action and set goals for student achievement.

Data Walls

The School Improvement Team are discussion whole school data through the use of data walls. Student growth and achievement in Reading and Maths was compared using results from NAPLAN, PAT and Teacher Judgements. Data Walls were put together by the teaching teams with the support of the PLC Link Leader and Assistant Principal. The SIT group are discussing the patterns in student growth from year to year and the implications on teaching and learning.
