Study Skills

You need to find a method that is best for you, however looking after yourself and having creating plan is a good place to start!

Don't foget to check in with our webinars with Dr Michael Carr-Gregg to understand the research behind the strategies!

What does a study plan look like?

  • Be realistic and start by entering the commitments you already have. Even if you know you like to watch the AFL on a Friday night or have a 1/2 hour Instagram break!

  • Build in regular breaks or 'rewards' for completing tasks and milestones

  • Prioritise sleeping- give yourself an hour before bed to wind down.

What does your study space look like?

  • Don't work from your bed

  • Work out what works best for you and stick to it

  • Is where you're working clean and organised?

  • Is there anywhere in your house where you are more likely to avoid distractions?

  • Could you take screen breaks? Is there anything you could do on paper?
