Our writing focus for this term is 'Informative Texts'

We are learning and revising the long vowel sounds and digraphs.

We use 'Little Learners Love Literacy' to support our phonics program.

We also focus on other areas of reading such as retell, sequencing, inference, parts of speech, vocabulary and fluency.

In Maths this term the topics we will cover are:

• place value

• counting on, counting back

• 2D shapes

• patterns

• length and area

We are responding to the big question:

How does my body work?

Our inquiry unit will incorporate science, reading, writing, maths, speaking and listening.

Students will explore the different systems in our bodies, including the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, nervous, digestive and circulatory systems.

Towards the end of the unit, we will participate in an incursion that will complement and further our learning.
