SMART Spelling

SMART Spelling is a fantastic whole school program that explicitly teaches spelling to our students. Teachers will focus on spelling daily to empower our students to make sensible attempts when faced with spelling common, unfamiliar or complex words. 

Our Foundation students are presented with a word of the week to focus on, and some common words which appear often in their written work. Through language experiences, repetition and understanding of rhyme and letter patterns, children are enjoying increased confidence when spelling.
