Sensational Sculpture

In Sensational Sculpture, you will find yourselves immersed in the wonderful world of ceramics and three-dimensional art forms. In this subject, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of ceramics. You will complete a range of practical tasks using different techniques, including the creation of a large, functional vessel that will be finished using glazes and mosaic tiles. Additionally you will have the rare opportunity to experiment with kiln formed glass. 

Students will also learn about the history of ceramics and sculpture as well as the practice of current ceramic and glass artists. They will learn how to compose written critiques, responding, analysing and interpreting artworks studied in class.
