Behind the Lens

Behind the Lens will open up a wide variety of skills, allowing students to create their own media sequence with a strong focus on exploring production processes. The subject matches practical work with components of digital photography and media exploration. Students will use different media forms such as SLR cameras, all the way through to post-production editing software, to create digital pieces of work. 

In this selective, students will understand what goes on ‘behind the lens’ of a camera. Students will further develop their production processes skills to create a design brief aimed at turning their ideas into a finished product. They will also have the opportunity to experiment with their ideas on a variety of different media formats and software to prepare them for subjects both in year ten and VCE.
