Focus:
Students study the language and culture around the themes of food and cafés, travel and holidays, describing themselves and their friends/family, body parts and clothing, and describing a variety of activities that occurred in the past. In doing so, they undertake written work, speaking and listening activities, reading, cultural enrichment, vocabulary acquisition and project work, as well as participating in excursions and incursions.
Special Requirements:
Students may also be required to pay for extra-curricular activities, including excursions such as film festivals, restaurants, poetry competitions, language forums and in-house cooking activities.
Optional opportunities for students:
French Exchange: students who intend to continue learning French will be offered the opportunity to go on our exchange trip to France in Year 10 or 11, which runs every second year.
