During Home Group, watch our daily briefing video to hear an overview of today's tasks.
As a class, watch the Day 5 Briefing video.
You should now have completed the development of your solution to the problem (congratulations!). You are now going to show and discuss your solution with 4 people to get their feedback. Read through the ‘How to have a feedback conversation’ on page 16 and approach 4 people (2 people must include a peer and a teacher and 2 others of your choice).
Complete the ‘Reflections from feedback conversation’ on page 17 and save your PDF.
Now look at all of your feedback and summarise the main findings for Positives (P), Improvements (M) and Interesting things(I) into the table at the top of page 18.
Reflecting on the feedback document any changes that you think you may want to make to your final invention. These can be made in the ‘Let’s Tweak’ tables on page 18
You can now spend the remaining time of period 2 making any of the suggested improvements that you documented you would change.

Now it is time to ‘sell’ your invention.
- Come up with a name
- Take pictures
- Describe how it is used
- Describe your audience (who will use it)
- What was the original issue and how does this help to solve the issue
Refer to page 19 of the IBL Booklet and create an A4 flyer summarising the above information. You may use whatever platform you like to create your flyer, as long as it can be submitted as a PDF file

When you complete this project, you will be holding onto the prototype for the Showcase of Learning Night, that will be held on Wednesday 23rd October.
During this lesson you will be taking photos and/or videos, using your laptops of your invention that you can upload to compass with your final project for marking. We are calling this your Invention Showcase
For your Invention Showcase. There are some ideas on Page 20/21 on what you can do for your Invention Showcase. Remember this is your time to really showcase what this project has been about and all the hard work you have put in.
Make sure you take lots of pictures to give a full view of your invention.
If you have a different way you would like to present your final invention please feel free to discuss this with your teacher.
Think about how STEAM is used in your project and document examples of this in the tables on pages 20 and 21
Complete your day 5 Daily Reflection on page 21
By next Monday 21st October at 4pm you will need to have uploaded your three final products
Upload your IBL Invention Convention Booklet into the Learning Task in your Homegroup Compass page called ‘IBL Invention Convention FINAL Booklet’
Upload your A4 Invention Flyer (as a PDF) into the Learning Task in your Homegroup Compass page called ‘IBL Invention Convention Flyer’.
Upload your Invention Showcase into the Learning Task in your Homegroup Compass page called ‘IBL Invention Showcase’. Ideally you have used one of the ideas from page 20 for this, however, if this is something you really need to submit as a physical thing please make sure you email / message Mrs Dark to discuss first.
