Connect to the eduSTAR wireless network.
Enter your @education or @schools email and password.
Accept any trust certificates if prompted.
It's known that some devices aren't accepting email addresses for student connections.
Instead, try entering username: edu002\ABC124 (before the @ symbol of your email) and your email password.
To forget a network:
Click on the World or Network icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your taskbar.
Click Wi-Fi.
Right-click on eduSTAR and select Forget.
Occassionally, other schools add Wi-Fi via a Configuration Profile. If your previous school was using eduSTAR and you're struggling to connect, this may be the problem and a member of the ICT team will need to assist you.
To connect to the eduSTAR Network:
Select the "eduSTAR" Wi-Fi network.
Change the "EAP method" to "PEAP" in the drop-down menu.
Change the "EAP Phase 2 authentication" to "MSCHAPv2" in the drop-down menu.
Change the "Server CA Certificate" to "Do not check" in the drop-down menu.
In the "Identify" field, type in your school email address e.g., username@schools.vic.edu.au
In the "Password" field, type your school email password.
Leave the "Anonymous Identity" field blank.
Leave "Save Identity and password" checked.
To forget a network:
Open the Settings app.
Tap Wi-Fi.
Tap the information (i) button.
Scroll down and tap Forget Network.
Occassionally, other schools add Wi-Fi via a Configuration Profile. If your previous school was using eduSTAR and you're struggling to connect, this may be the problem.
To delete a profile:
Open the Settings app.
Tap General.
Scroll down and tap on VPN & Device Management.
Tap on a profile (if any) and then tap Remove Management.Â
Most devices don't require a profile, so you should be fine to delete any that appear.
You may not have any profiles.
