What is SEPEP?
SEPEP stands for Sport Education in Physical Education Program, an activity designed to help Australian students develop important life skills through sport. It encourages teamwork, leadership, communication, and creative problem solving by placing students in real-world roles such as coaches, referees, team managers, and players. Through fun and engaging physical activities, SEPEP helps students learn how to work collaboratively, take responsibility, and support each other all while staying active and enjoying sport in a more meaningful way. One of the best things about SEPEP is that it doesn’t just focus on the usual sports like soccer or basketball it often introduces students to less well known sports like ultimate frisbee, European handball, lacrosse, touch football, hockey, quidditch and other less popular sports . This gives everyone a fresh start, since most students haven’t played these sports before. It helps build confidence, encourages creativity, and allows all students to learn together and support each other. By trying new and unfamiliar sports, students develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills all while having fun and being active.- Airlea & Tia
