Publication of the Senior School Handbook.
Year 9 – Subject Selection Assembly on May 15 to prepare students for selection of Year 10 subjects by Monday June 2. Students who have applied to undertake a VCE Advanced Placement subject will attend a counselling interview on Tuesday June 10.
Year 10 – Senior School Information Session and Curriculum Expo for students periods 1-3 on Friday May 16.
Year 10 - Parent/Carer VCE Information Session on Thursday May 22.
June
Year 10 - Optional course counselling interviews (parents/carers welcome to attend) on Monday June 2 and Tuesday June 3.
Year 10 - Compulsory interviews for VCE Vocational major applicants (parents/carers welcome to attend) on Monday June 2 and Tuesday June 3.
Year 10 - Students can enter their subjects for Year 11 in 2026 online, commencing on Monday June 2. The final date for entry of subjects is Monday June 9.
Term 3
Information Night – New families to the school will receive notification regarding the Information Night. This may be a virtual/remote event.
July
Planning regarding studies/subjects to be offered by Wellington Secondary College.
Preliminary timetable blocking of units.
August
Further counselling on course selections, where necessary, based on review of this year’s results. Individual interviews with students/parents where necessary.
Final blocking of units and course selection completed. Confirmation to students of 2026 studies.
January 28 2026
Commence 2026 Senior School classes.
Note: The College will endeavour to offer as many VCE/VCE VM/VET units as possible. All offers of units are initially provisional and final classes are dependent on staff availability, level of student interest and constraints of the timetable.
