The following activities can be practiced in Year 6 to help with orientation and organisation in high school:
Using Google Maps for directions to get to school
Checking a timetable - is it Week A or Week B?
Using a map - where is A Block or B17?
Checking bell times - when does period 1 finish?
Using a diary - homework and reminders
Using the Student Portal including apps for education
Emailing a teacher - practice writing and sending an email to a teacher through the student portal
Using Virtual Classrooms - Google Classroom and Teams - access G Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 in the student portal
Using BYOD - connect to the 'detnsw' Wi-Fi and log on to detnsw.net on a student owned device
