Smiling Mind is a meditation app for young people. It has been developed by a team of psychologists and uses mindfulness to boost calmness, contentment and clarity. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to help manage stress, resilience, anxiety, depression and improve general health and wellbeing.
Self-care is any activity that we deliberately do in order to take care of our mental, emotional and physical health and wellbeing. When we practice self-care regularly we develop a greater capacity to manage stress, increase our resilience and reduce symptoms of mental health problems.
The Kids Helpline has created an online interactive game about anxiety. It includes solving puzzles that relate to common symptoms (i.e., rapid breathing, negative thinking, etc.)
