This term, we have been learning about forces, which has sparked lots of curiosity and hands-on discovery in our classroom. As part of our intentional play, we have explored magnets and experimented with how they attract and repel each other. The children have enjoyed investigating different materials to see what magnets stick to, and they've worked together to solve problems and make predictions. It was pretty cool when we worked out a magnet can work through our fingers!
Mirra and her family have donated a new swing and coloured stones to the fairy garden. Their thoughtful contribution has added a magical touch to our outdoor space, creating new opportunities for imaginative play and exploration. We would like to thank Mirra and her family for their kindness and support in making our fairy garden even more special for everyone to enjoy.
Guparr have been reading the text 'The Thing About Oliver'. One of the interesting activities we did was rewriting a section of the text from a different character's perspective. We enjoyed sharing some of our stories with Mrs Baxter, who was extremely impressed!
Last week was Science Week. The whole school gathered together to do some fun experiments and test out some fun theories. Our Mentos in the Coke experiment turned out to be a bit of a fizzer (not the good kind), but we've learnt from that and will try again sometime soon. It was certainly lots of fun all the same!
