Term 3, Week 6, 2026
Whilst we've had some chilly or foggy mornings recently, we've been fortunate to have lots of lovely days to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and playground. Basketball sessions with our visiting expert coaches have proven to be a hit, with lots of squeals of excitement and cheering heard from the court in my office each Thursday.
We're extremely fortunate to have received a government Sporting Schools grant, allowing us to pay for these types of services, meaning students can learn skills and experience a variety of sports they may not otherwise. We have applied for another grant for term 4, hoping once again to use this to fund the Swimming Scheme program in December. We will not know for a few weeks whether we have been successful or not. We'll keep you updated.
Last week was Science Week, and we wrapped up the week with some fun whole-school experiments. Make sure you see some of the highlights later in this newsletter.
Thank you to Vicki and Emma N for working so hard in the canteen on Tuesday to prepare and serve so many delicious lunches for students and staff. Remember, if you wish to order for your child, the canteen will be open on Tuesday of even weeks (weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10). Orders can be placed via the Flexischools app. If you'd like some help accessing the app, please contact the office, me or the P&C. We're happy to show you how to set it up. Then ordering will be a breeze! (I can highly recommend the chicken burger! 🍔)
Finally, we are looking forward to welcoming you all for our annual Book Week festivities on Friday. Please feel free to dress up along with your children. We know we'll all have a blast! See details later in this newsletter.
HAPPY BOOK WEEK EVERYONE!
