Heggartys is one of the programs that are implemented in the K-1-2 classroom to help build phonics skills and phonemic awareness.
Heggarty Hedgehog joins the class to help encourage the children as each day, he gets to spend the rest of the day hanging out with a student who has shown great improvement or engagement in that day's lesson.
On this day, Heggarty Hedgehog couldn't decide between two clever little heroes, so he spent his day between the two of them!
Congratulations Hayden and Adalyn on being Heggarty Hedgehog's helpers this day.
That has been one of the key skills the primary students have been learning about while creating their Film By The Waters short film. They have collaborated to determine which camera angle would be the best for every section of the film. Watching it, you may not initially realise how many variations there are or how they affected the story being told. However, the students have cleverly woven their magic to impact the viewers' experience to really FEEL the story.
Do you know what these camera angles mean? These are just some of the many that were employed by the students in their film called The Yarn.
Stay tuned for our upcoming public screening - complete with popcorn and tissues!
