The pages below have collections of links, resources and videos that have been put out by DoE and NESA to support the new CHPS syllabus docs. They will also contain any additional support resources that I create as time goes on. CHPS (being referred to as chips) stands for Creative Arts, HSIE, PDHPE, Science and Technology.
These pages were an attempt to collate all the DoE and NESA professional learning that was coming out, as it was difficult to keep track of it all. It may not contain everything that's out there now, as I had to shift focus to the scope and sequences and units of work.
This document contains the DoE and NESA Scitech and HSIE scope and sequences reformatted and condensed, plus a draft of a possible scope and sequence developed for my school's context.
Creative Arts and PDHPE do my head in, so they may not get done.
I am attempting to reformat some of the DoE units. My priority is the units that my school is doing (we are following a modified scope and sequence) and in 2026 I will only be focusing on Scitech and HSIE as we are implementing those KLAs first.
They are still huge documents, but I've been able to trim most by half or more.
Please note - these have been created by me and I haven't had anyone check them, so there may be errors. Please check them, and if you notice any errors, let me know. My old brain isn't as switched on as it used to be. 😄
In this spreadsheet, I've taken out all the content that connects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories. This may be useful in case you want to build a unit around this content or work with your local community to create Country-specific learning experiences.
