Ask every person in the room to say the word 'bing'.
Listen to the way every voice sounds slightly different.
Note that every voice and instrument has its own tone colour.
Task 2

Listen to a variety of instruments from around the world.
Listen carefully to the tone colour and guess the material from which each instrument is constructed.
Task 3

Ask one student to play a percussion instrument while hiding behind a wall or screen. The other students describe the instrument and/or guess its name.

Play instrument bingo to practise instrument identification.
