Community Care Through Service
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our school community for your generous donations, which make this initiative possible at a time when many people are facing challenges. We sincerely thank the SRC and school leaders for their assistance in preparing toiletry packs to support those experiencing hardship. We also express our gratitude to Mr Chris Nolan for providing valuable insight into the distribution of these packs and the positive impact they have within our community.

3/4 Cotton Candy had a great time getting to know the rules and basics of ultimate frisbee. The class enjoyed learning how to throw and catch the frisbee while working together as a team. Everyone loved playing the fast-paced games and showed great sportsmanship. It’s been awesome seeing their skills grow, and they’re all excited to keep playing!
This term we’ve been learning about Bronwyn Bancroft, a Bundjalung artist who is famous for her colourful and patterned artworks that share stories about culture and Country. We loved looking at her artworks and talking about the stories they tell. Our favourite part was recreating some of her pieces in our own style and experimenting with different colours, shapes and patterns.
This term, 3/4 Butterscotch has had an incredible journey of learning and growth. The students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, from our fun and engaging Fisbee Fridays sessions to the focus and determination shown in Maths, where they’ve strengthened their understanding of key concepts. Our morning routine has helped set a positive tone for the day, fostering independence and responsibility. In Spelling and Writing, the students made impressive progress, mastering spelling patterns and honing their creative writing skills to entertain and engage their readers. Reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sparked lively discussions on themes like kindness and fairness, while deepening their comprehension and critical thinking. We also explored the rich cultures and histories of our First Nations, which inspired a greater appreciation for the diversity that shapes our country. It’s been a wonderful term, and I'm so proud of all the hard work and growth I've seen in 3/4 Butterscotch. I look forward to the next term ahead!
