Allusions (a reference to something else, such as a person, a piece of writing or an event.)

Euphemisms (A word or expression used in place in one that is deemed offensive or suggest something unpleasant.)

Oxymoron (A figure of speech that combines two contradictory or opposite words or ideas)

satire (the use of humor, irony, sarcasm or ridicule to criticize something or someone)

onomatopoeia (onomatopoeia is the use or creation of a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests that sound that it describes)

alliteration (repetition of sounds not just letters)
